Job Description:
Huntsman is seeking an US Payroll Analyst with mandatory U.S. multi-state payroll experience to support our HR Shared Services Organization located in Heredia, Costa Rica. This role reports directly to the Regional Payroll Manager and plays a key part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations for the United States.
Prepare, audit, and process bi-weekly, monthly, and semi-monthly U.S. payroll using ADP Workforce Now and/or ADP Vantage.
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and commissions for U.S. employees.
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
Execute post-payroll activities including accounting entries, funding, and internal controls.
Maintain, validate, and audit employee data within ADP systems.
Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and seamless data flow across systems and integrations.
Ensure strict compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Prepare and submit payroll-related reports including tax filings, W-2s, and ad-hoc reporting.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance data accuracy.
Participate in system upgrades, testing cycles, and the rollout of new payroll features.
Respond to payroll inquiries related to earnings, deductions, timekeeping, and tax withholdings.
Provide guidance to employees and leaders on payroll policies, processes, and best practices.

Unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.
Ability to work onsite at our Heredia office every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (additional days as required).
Minimum 3 years of hands-on U.S. multi-state payroll processing experience (mandatory).
Resume must be submitted in English.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or ADP Vantage (required).
Intermediate Excel skills.
Strong knowledge and practical application of U.S. payroll regulations, wage & hour laws, and tax requirements.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills in English (minimum B2).
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Valid passport and visa.CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification.
Experience with payroll analytics and reporting.
Familiarity with timekeeping systems and related integrations.
1+ year of Workday experience.
Advanced Excel proficiency.
Experience processing payroll for Canada and/or LATAM (Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia).
ServiceNow experience.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
