You will be part of a cross‑functional Treasury Technology team working closely with business, architecture, and delivery teams across Securitization. The team delivers end‑to‑end technology solutions for securitization platforms, operating in a highly regulated environment with strong emphasis on data quality, platform stability, and controlled delivery.

The Securitization area supports the structuring, execution, and lifecycle management of securitization transactions, including asset‑backed securities and covered bond programs. Technology solutions in this space enable the pooling of assets, generation of cash flows, production of unencumbered contingent collateral, and delivery of transparent, traceable data for internal and regulatory purposes.

We are looking for a VP Frontend Engineer to provide technical and delivery leadership for a complex, enterprise-grade React application built on a modern stack (React 18, Vite, TypeScript, Module Federation, Autobahn Web).

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with end-to-end ownership of frontend architecture, quality, release readiness, and platform alignment. You will shape how the application scales, integrates, and is delivered across environments, while setting engineering standards and guiding senior engineers.

This position remains deeply technical, with accountability for architecture decisions, delivery outcomes, and long-term sustainability of the frontend platform.

Responsibilities

Technical & Architectural Leadership

  • Own the overall frontend architecture for the application, including Micro-Frontend strategy using Module Federation.
  • Define and govern shared dependency strategy (React singletons, version alignment, overrides, security-driven constraints).
  • Lead architectural decisions around state management, server-state orchestration (Redux Toolkit, React Query), and real-time/event-driven integration (Autobahn).
  • Drive performance, scalability, and maintainability across the UI codebase.

Delivery & Quality Ownership

  • Be accountable for end-to-end frontend delivery, from design through build, test, release, and production readiness.
  • Define and enforce quality gates: Linting and formatting standards (ESLint, Prettier), Unit and integration testing (Jest, React Testing Library), End-to-end automation (Playwright)
  • Ensure CI-stable test suites and predictable pipelines (deterministic builds, timezone-safe tests, flake reduction).
  • Act as escalation point for complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.

Platform & Tooling Ownership

  • Own the build and tooling ecosystem: Vite-based builds, TypeScript compilation, Node.js runtime governance (pinned versions)
  • Lead improvements to developer experience (DX), build performance, and local/CI workflows.
  • Oversee Autobahn Web integration, packaging, and publishing workflows, ensuring compliance with platform constraints and standards.

Release & Lifecycle Management

  • Own release strategy for the frontend: Semantic versioning, Tag-based releases, Automated changelog generation
  • Ensure releases are traceable, auditable, and production-ready.
  • Partner with release management, QA, and platform teams to coordinate promotions across environments.

Leadership & Influence

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AVPs and senior engineers.
  • Set engineering direction through clear standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Influence cross-team decisions (backend, QA, platform, product) to ensure coherent system design.
  • Represent frontend engineering in technical forums, reviews, and stakeholder discussions.

Skills

  • Extensive hands-on experience building and leading large-scale React applications in enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • React 18 and modern component architecture
    • Redux Toolkit and React Query
    • Module Federation and micro-frontend architectures
    • TypeScript in complex codebases
  • Strong experience with:
    • Vite build systems and modern frontend tooling
    • Jest + React Testing Library
    • Playwright for E2E automation
    • SCSS and scalable styling approaches
  • Proven experience owning:
    • Frontend CI/CD quality gates
    • Release/versioning processes
    • Dependency governance and security posture
  • Strong understanding of enterprise frontend security (XSS mitigation, token handling, dependency risk).
