Job Summary

As a Software Engineer (Full-stack) Intern at Impiricus, you will contribute to building and improving digital healthcare solutions that support clinicians and healthcare organizations. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop features across backend services and frontend applications, gaining hands-on experience with modern software development practices.

This internship is an opportunity to learn how scalable, production systems are designed and built in a fast-moving healthcare technology environment. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams while developing practical skills in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining backend services and APIs primarily using Python within a microservices-based architecture.
  • Contribute to building and improving web applications and dashboards using modern frontend frameworks such as React
  • Help integrate AI and LLM-powered features into product workflows, including experimentation with prompts and backend integrations.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and tested code while learning engineering best practices including code reviews and CI/CD workflows.
  • Support the integration of APIs, databases, and internal services to enable efficient data exchange across platforms.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to implement new features and improve user experiences.
  • Participate in team meetings, technical discussions, and learning opportunities to build strong full-stack engineering skills.

Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Golang,  JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Exposure to web development concepts and frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or similar technologies.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, databases, and version control (Git).
  • Interest in learning about cloud platforms, microservices architecture, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Curiosity about AI/LLMs and their application in real-world software systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Compensation:

This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $25, with interns working up to 40 hours per week.


The program runs for 8 weeks and will be offered in two cohorts. Candidates may participate in the cohort that best aligns with their summer schedule.

Cohort 1: June 15, 2026 through August 7, 2026
Cohort 2: July 6, 2026 through August 28, 2026
