Assistant Hourly Trainer – Production
Location: Vicksburg Plant
Department: Shipping
Reports To: Operations / Production
Job Description Summary
The Assistant Hourly Trainer – Production supports the development, onboarding, and continuous training of hourly production employees. This role assists with hands-on instruction, ensures employees understand and comply with safety, quality, and food safety requirements, and reinforces standardized work practices across production operations.
Essential Functions
Assist with onboarding and job-specific training for new and existing production employees
Demonstrate proper use of production equipment, tools, and processes
Reinforce GMPs, food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards
Observe employee performance and provide coaching and feedback
Maintain accurate training documentation and records
Support supervisors with cross-training and skills verification initiatives
Non-Essential Functions
Assist with special training projects as assigned
Support continuous improvement and engagement activities
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
One (1) to three (3) years of production or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to effectively communicate and train others
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of food manufacturing processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, reaching, and use of hands
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Working Conditions
Production environment with exposure to cold, wet conditions, noise, and moving machinery
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
