Minimum Requirements

  • 3 months of cumulative forklift experience required

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Receiving by safely and efficiently unloading packaging and ingredient trailers.
  • Maintain proper rotation of ingredients and packaging using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
  • Follow procedures and SOPs outlined in the Shipping Manual.
  • Unload materials neatly and without damage into designated storage bays.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed before and during unloading.
  • Accurately complete unloading reports for packaging, ingredients, and carrier inspections (if applicable).
  • Keep production lines fully stocked and maintain clean, organized work areas.
  • Operate the EIM system for loading and inventory movement of finished goods.
  • Pump bulk ingredients as needed and submit samples to Quality Assurance.
  • Coordinate daily flour unloading and silo assignments with the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of silos, pumping areas, storage rooms, and associated equipment.
  • Secure pumping equipment after unloading is completed.
  • Report damaged incoming products.
  • Hang and prepare masa totes for production lines; complete masa dump logs accurately.
  • Clean and inspect outbound trailers.
  • Record temperatures of cold products and notify supervisor immediately if out of specification.
  • Load outbound trailers with properly allocated products and complete all required paperwork.
  • Be yard tractor certified if needed.
  • Safely spot trailer movements for yard tractor operators.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all safety rules, company policies, and standard procedures.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility in wrist and hand movement.
  • Regular walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to move objects up to 2,000 lbs using lifting devices.
  • Strong distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Ability to unload finished goods by hand at a pace of 2 minutes per pallet (up to 20 lbs boxes).
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs overhead.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and move heavy equipment such as batteries.
  • Communicate effectively with Quality Control, Purchasing, Production, and Supervisors.
  • Ability to accurately complete unloading reports, inventory sheets, and carrier inspection forms.
  • Basic computer skills including email and use of handheld scanners.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.

  • The Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold. 
  • The Team Member will work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud.
  • 3 time rule and 180 days rehire waiting period.
