We are hiring a Turnaround Planner to work through the planning and execution of the assigned Turnaround (TA) project. By stewarding scopes of work through end-to-end life-cycle you will ensure that TA job plans are fully executable and execution lessons-learned are fully implemented in future job plans.RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED!

Minimum Requirements:
Five years of experience in maintenance crafts, supervision, coordination, or planning
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Experience in commissioning, start‑up, shut‑down, and turnaround (TA) activities
Specialized knowledge of pressure vessels and heat exchanger equipment including P&ID's, mechanical drawings, vendor technical data, codes and standards, and maintenance best practices
Technical proficiency to coordinate solutions for a broad range of issues (mechanical, welding, piping, electrical and instrumentation and civil)
Proficiency with SAP, including the ability to develop job plans and task lists, order and manage materials, generate purchase orders and maintain bills of materials , manage process orders/notifications and support materials management, task planning, and job scheduling
Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Excel and Adobe, plus working knowledge of at least one Computerized Maintenance Management System

Responsibilities:
Coordinate planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution by aligning resources, materials, vendors, and stakeholders to meet safety, quality, cost, and timeline targets
Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Plan, schedule, audit, and report progress against phased turnaround plans
Collaborate to develop optimized execution schedules and support daily decision‑making related to work processes, safety, and repair vs. replace determinations
Contribute to scope definition, prioritization, and risk mitigation, including identifying additional work and determining when to involve engineers or supplier representatives
Communicate and apply the correct technical specifications, contracts, and procedures for equipment and system maintenance
Uphold Operational Excellence Management System practices and ensure all work aligns with corporate safety and operating integrity values
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Work location may vary within the region depending on business needs
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs/ overtime during Turnaround windows
This position is safety sensitive
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
