ROLE SUMMARY
As a function in the Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) department within Pfizer, Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) plays a critical role enabling Pfizer’s commercial strategy. This team functions as internal consultants and brand strategists that partner with senior commercial and cross-functional leaders, activating data-driven problem solving in a way that the business can execute to drive impact and unlock value.
The IIS Lead for Turkey is accountable for the delivery of high quality and impactful strategic business decision support to this key market in the International Commercial Division (ICD). This person will be accountable for leading performance measurement, informing investment decisions, and guiding commercial strategy. The role serves as the primary GCA relationship manager, accountable to the Turkey country president, business unit leadership and other members of Turkey's leadership team.
The IIS Turkey Lead will lead cross-functional analytic teams of IIS Therapeutic Area (TA) experts, Data Scientists, Analytic Engineers and others to deliver robust analytic solutions to address the highest priority business issues. This person will be responsible for ensuring GCA colleagues collaborate with Commercial Finance, CMO Business Partners, Digital, and other functions as appropriate to ensure optimal actionability of insights and execution of those actions.
The IIS Turkey Lead is accountable for driving the commercial analytics agenda grounded in ICD strategic priorities, guiding the GCA team on the design and execution of analytics and insights plans that reflect that agenda, and delivering actionable insights that result in direct business impact. This person must be a proactive and strategic thought partner, strong talent developer, effective project manager, and capable influencer with and without direct authority.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Emerging Markets IIS Lead, the IIS Turkey Lead will serve as single point of contact for analytics to country leadership and will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams delivering GCA capabilities to these business partners.
- Serve as a strategic analytic advisor to the Turkey President, proactively engaging and partnering with business colleagues to identify and prioritize challenges requiring analytic solutions that will drive informed decision-making
- Guide strategic performance measurement discussions with country LTs
- Implement new GCA capabilities and solutions in the country
- Enable clear line of sight of the market and competitive landscape of the pharmaceutical industry in Turkey
- Set a vision and lead the IIS TA experts, including Management Trainees, to ensure robust and consistent analytics and insights delivery, while also developing a critical talent pipeline for the larger commercial organization in Turkey.

- Manage a regular rotation of talent through the Management Trainee (MT) program, including robust IIS on-boarding, training and talent development of new MTs.
- Accountable for the delivery of analytics and insights across the catalog of GCA services, including:
- Primary market research to inform strategy development and guide sales and marketing decisions
- Secondary data analysis to ensure comprehensive understanding of market and customer dynamics, including competitive insights, industry trends, market access dynamics, and portfolio performance
- Promotion effectiveness & insights to guide effective use of promotional resources, including delivery of customer segmentation and targeting, promotional resource allocation analysis, FF sizing and structure, omnichannel analytics, etc.
- Forecasting & modeling to support long-range forecasting and inform resource allocation, strategies and tactics.
- Data stewardship & reporting, including identification of new data sources in partnership with GCA Data Strategy.
- Advanced analytics including predictive modeling, data science, and artificial intelligence/machine learning
- Omnichannel analytics & insights including development of Customer 360s, customer profiles, predictive behavioral analytics, channel and content analysis, etc.
- Ensure proactive and collaborative working relationships with relevant cross-functional partners (as mentioned above) as well as Global and CommercialOffice (ICO/EMCO) IIS colleagues and other EM IIS team members to adapt global and regional strategies to the country as relevant, to share knowledge and expertise and to ensure cohesive activities and quality analysis and insights.
- Lead the definition and consistency of business metrics, striving for continuous improvement in analytic approaches across all brands and business units.
- Ensure systematic knowledge management to identify and maximize cross-category and cross-market synergies.
- Actively seek opportunities to work with CMO Business Partners, other CMO functions, and Digital to identify solutions and services that build on analytic insights.
- Negotiate budget, service levels and operating plan with Turkey leadership
- Be an active member of the Emerging Markets IIS leadership team. Share knowledge of successful analtics and insights with across the region and contribute to building a strong EM IIS culture.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline
- 10+ years of strong multi-disciplinary experience with a preference for exposure to business analytics, marketing, sales, operations, finance, and/or strategy
- Track record of thought partnership with commercial leadership to advance business priorities and goals
- Budget management and resource allocation experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in Turkey, including relevant data sources required to understand and generate insights about the market
- Experience across GCA services including data analytics, primary and secondary market research, data reporting & visualization, data processing, use of AI/ML and commercial analytic tools; specific experience in Dataiku/DSS and Tableau are highly desired
- Demonstrated ability to support and build talent
- Proven ability to effectively partner with commercial leadership with the capacity to quickly understand business strategies and establish relationships of trust and credibility
