About the Job:
The Transplant Lead has the mission to improve the lives of transplant patients impacted by complications such as chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) and support their caregivers through innovative treatment solutions. This role will drive the successful launch of Rezurock to position it as the leading treatment in the therapeutic area, while ensuring accessibility to all eligible patients and establishing Sanofi as a leading transplant company.
This high-visibility position involves leading, developing, and inspiring a team of Customer Experience Partners (CXPs) to achieve ambitious goals within an inclusive, winning, and innovative environment. The individual will be accountable for delivering a clear Transplant strategy aligned with organizational objectives and for setting and achieving performance targets across the transplant portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Strategy
Strategic Planning & Brand Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive Transplant Vision and Strategic Plan, ensuring implementation through clear stakeholder objectives and accountability frameworks
Take full accountability for product profile strategies across lifecycle stages, with primary focus on the successful launch of Rezurock and new Thymoglobulin indications
Drive prioritization of Transplant initiatives and serve as key strategic decision-maker regarding funding allocation, budget resources, and portfolio prioritization
Lead the development and implementation of core transplant product strategies, with emphasis on Rezurock launch excellence and Thymoglobulin indication expansion
Brand Management & Commercial Excellence
Develop and implement core marketing strategies for Rezurock across all approved indications, focusing on maximizing post-launch momentum and expanding market presence
Maintain accountability for overall Transplant commercial strategy with emphasis on Rezurock brand performance, positioning, and competitive differentiation.
Manage Transplant portfolio priorities and resource allocation to optimize therapeutic area performance and growth
Oversee brand performance metrics, market analytics, and brand equity assessment to drive continuous improvement and accelerate market share growth
Marketing Execution & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns and promotional strategies that resonate with key stakeholders and drive rapid adoption
Drive omnichannel marketing approach including digital, face-to-face, and innovative engagement strategies to maximize brand reach, impact, and prescriber base expansion
Engage with global brand franchise leaders to support the execution of Transplant key goals and priorities
Ensure collaboration and engagement of local cross-functional teams while partnering with global teams for strategy development and performance review
Partner with GTMC (Go-To-Market Capabilities) unit to foster standardization and support commercial capabilities across the Transplant portfolio
Customer Experience Partner (CXP) Leadership
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, inspire, and develop the CXP team to achieve Rezurock post-launch growth objectives and broaden Transplant goals while delivering exceptional customer experiences
Build and develop a best-in-class and agile CXP team, recruiting internal and external talent and fostering continuous development of their skills and capabilities in the Transplant therapeutic area
Provide continuous, structured support to CXPs through organized field coaching focused on developing customer engagement skills, improving performance, and ensuring the team meets expectations in driving post-launch adoption
Create an inclusive, high-performance culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and accountability
Performance Management & Strategic Execution
Drive team performance through joint business planning and customer development initiatives that align with Transplant strategy and Rezurock post-launch growth priorities
Set clear KPIs and performance metrics for the CXP team aligned with Rezurock post-launch objectives and broader Transplant strategic goals
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to drive individual and team excellence in accelerating brand adoption and market penetration
Create an accountability framework for individual and team goal achievement that fosters ownership and result orientation in the critical post-launch growth phase
Customer & Account Strategy
Support the development of deep knowledge and understanding of key accounts mapping including strategic goals, value drivers, key access stakeholders, relevant business metrics, and unique challenges/emerging needs in the Transplant space
Enable the team to build strong, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders.
Drive customer-centric approaches that address unmet needs and deliver value to patients and healthcare providers
Market Access Partnership
Access Strategy & Optimization
Ensure appropriate ongoing environmental and competitive pricing and access strategies in partnership with global/country market access teams to maximize Rezurock availability and patient access
Support the development of value propositions and evidence-based materials that demonstrate Rezurock clinical and economic value to facilitate post-launch adoption
Work to optimize patient access and reimbursement pathways to ensure eligible patients can access treatment without barriers
Barrier Management & Competitive Intelligence
Address access barriers and develop solutions to improve product availability across key accounts and treatment centers in the post-launch environment
Partner with access teams to monitor and respond to competitive access dynamics in the Transplant market
Collaborate with stakeholders to navigate complex reimbursement landscapes and ensure optimal product positioning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Integrated Strategy Execution
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Operations, Regulatory, and Compliance teams to ensure integrated Transplant strategy execution with focus on Rezurock post-launch success
Ensure alignment of brand strategy across all functions and facilitate effective communication and coordination between teams to maximize post-launch momentum
Drive integrated planning and execution across functions to maximize efficiency, impact, and speed to market in the Transplant therapeutic area
Organizational Leadership
Foster a culture of collaboration and shared accountability for brand success and broader Transplant portfolio performance
Position Sanofi as a leading Transplant company through strategic partnerships, thought leadership, and excellence in execution across the therapeutic area
Serve as a key liaison between local operations and global Transplant teams to ensure strategic alignment and best practice sharing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field (required)
Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) preferred
Specialized training or certification in Transplant/hematology is a plus
Professional Experience
Minimum 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 5 years in Transplant or specialty therapeutic areas
Minimum 3-5 years of proven leadership experience managing commercial teams, preferably in Transplant or specialty care
Demonstrated success in product launch and post-launch growth acceleration, preferably in Transplant or complex therapeutic areas
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding commercial objectives and performance targets
Experience working in cross-functional environments and leading matrix organizations
Experience with brand strategy development, marketing execution, and portfolio management
Knowledge of Egyptian healthcare system, Transplant treatment landscape, and market access dynamics
Technical Knowledge
Ensure collaboration and engagement of local cross-functional teams while partnering with global teams for strategy development and performance review
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing principles, brand management, and commercial strategy
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and ethical promotional practices in Transplant
Understanding of market access, pricing, and reimbursement dynamics in the Egyptian market.
Strategic analysis and scenario planning capabilities that include consideration of challenges, alternative solutions, and managing risks
Knowledge of Agile methodologies, digital strategies, and innovative approaches
