Job Description:

The S/4HANA Transformation Data Manager FI/CO is responsible for supporting the deployment of Lonza’s new SAP S/4HANA ERP system as part of the multi-year global transformation program “Nexus”. Key deliverables include supporting Lonza’s global CDMO sites in achieving data readiness as well as supporting them during the actual deployment activities incl. Data Migration, Go-Live and post-go live support including related Data Management.

The role requires a deep understanding of S/4HANA FI/CO including the data models and objects, dependencies as well as Data Management processes. The role is permanent and based in Hyderabad, embedded into a new central data team with full dedication to the global Nexus transformation program. The role requires strong coordination and communication with stakeholders at different levels, including the 3rd party S/4HANA integration partner, local business, central functions and other Nexus team members.

What You Will Do:

Data Readiness Support

  • Support Lonza’s global CDMO sites in achieving data readiness for the S/4HANA deployment by preparing, orchestrating the finalization of all data preparation activities within the data domain of S/4HANA FI/CO. This concerns mainly the data models and objects related to the business processes Analyze-to-Decide (A2D) and Report-to-Record (R2R) and dependent domains.
  • Establish and develop standardized best-in class delivery plans, processes, tools and templates to support data preparation activities and continuously improve them.
  • Mobilize local data owners / key users and facilitate their enablement by preparing and delivering onboarding, training, alignment meetings and workshops.
  • Closely coordinate with the 3rd party integration partner to support the finalization of key deliverables, such as data designs, mappings, construct files, transformations etc. as well as achieving formal sign-off from data owners and other stakeholders.
  • Orchestrate multiple integrated Data Harmonization initiatives together with other Data Domains towards their finalization, approval to be built into Data Migration.
     

Data Migration and Deployment Support

  • Support Lonza’s global CDMO sites end-to-end during S/4HANA deployment with all data-related activities, mainly Data Migration but, cutover and post-go live support.
  • Orchestrate and coordinate migration activities between the 3rd party integration partner, the Nexus project teams and data owners / key users. Support migration activities such as testing, mock loads incl. validation, defect fixing in line with the migration plan. Identify and document issues promptly and drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure Project & Quality-relevant documentation requirements are adhered to.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for automation and adopting new
    technologies, such as AI and Machine Learning.

Data Governance and SAP MDG Support

  • Support the rollout of the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) system for Master Data Management along with the global S/4HANA deployments.
  • Coordinate and support central transactional Master Data Management teams with training, handover during deployments to facilitate strong data governance and high data quality effective from Day +1 after go-live.
  • Identify, manage and coordinate change requests concerning the S/4HANA data model and/or data management processes as well as SAP MDG workflows and data quality rulesets or exceptions such as mass data loads. Ensure alignment and formal approval by Nexus Data Information Architects to ensure the integrity of the S/4HANA process template including its data model and data designs. 
  • Monitor and resolve data-management related issues and service ticket management. Ensure disruptions and issues are assigned and addressed promptly.

Project Management, Documentation and Training

  • Formalize all detailed activities into a comprehensive deployment toolkit incorporating a structured and disciplined approach, to enable standardized, repeatable process execution during future deployments with consistent quality.
  • Monitor quality of work by performing reviews against standards and follow-ups.
  • Ensure adhere to plan by continuous progress tracking and reporting.
  • Proactively identify and monitor risks and issues and report them to project
    management. Define and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliant documentation of all data activities is established in line with program requirements.
  • Provide training and support to data owners to support consistent execution.
  • Document lessons learned and contributed to continuous improvement efforts.
     

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate all activities closely with the 3rd party integration partner, internal Nexus Data, IT/Tech and Business Process teams to ensure continuous alignment of all activities with program planning and the Data Migration and Harmonization Strategy.
  • Ensure continuous alignment with Data & Information Architects and continuous improvement of operational data management.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA FI/CO, Data Management, Data Migration and/or Digital Transformation projects and/or consulting.
  • Experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and/or other Data Management or Data Migration tools.
  • Passion for Data, Digital Transformation and innovative new technologies
  • Deep understanding of FI/CO data model and objects in S/4HANA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Project management and organizational skills, with experience in preparing and delivering training and workshops.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
