Transfer Agency - Manager

Why this role is important to us:

The Transfer Agency Department provides Fund Administration service to numerous Fund management companies covering the full range of shareholder servicing functions including Transaction processing, Reporting, AML and Registration and Payments. The department is responsible for Client and investor document management, processing and quality checking of transactions and updating the registers of clients in response to investor instructions. This role is to perform BAU activities in the TA department in order to ensure that not only Client Service Level Agreements are consistently met and/or exceeded but also to ensure that regulatory requirements are effectively met. As a service provider, our Transfer Agency function ensures operational efficiency and a seamless experience for our clients across global regions.

What you will be responsible for:

Dealing Management

  • Process daily transactions subscriptions, redemptions, switches, and transfers
  • Process management fees rebates
  • Process commissions, ADL and Trailer Fees transactions
  • Process estimated cash flow reports with accuracy and timeliness
  • Resolve investor issues and queries in timely and professional manner
  • Coordinates with different functions of Transfer Agency E.g., Registration, Settlement, Investor services to resolve client queries
  • Ensure adherence to process & access controls, regulatory requirements and any reporting
  • Maintain Skill levels and appropriate staffing
  • Identify gaps in the process & optimum utilization of resources
  • Suggest process improvements and participate in automation initiatives
  • Suggest and participate in employee engagement initiatives
  • Manages the day-to-day activities and controls to ensure consistency of policies adherence to procedures.
  • Manages and facilitates timely resolution of issues.
  • Proposes and works to implement workflow changes and supporting technical solutions leading to improved productivity and profitability.
  • Keeps abreast of regulatory compliance and developments for the assigned area and apprises staff as necessary.

People Coordination & Supervision

  • Oversees the activities of staff by working closely with direct reports.
  • Act as an immediate point of contact for junior team members
  • Provide support in training, work allocation ,mentoring, and daily oversight
  • Serve as the first escalation point for process exceptions or delays
  • Support workload balancing and floor coordination during volume spikes

Controls, Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain team productivity stats, Monthly KPI’s, trackers and management reports
  • Support audits and due diligence visits

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or equivalent discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Transfer Agency Operations
  • Strong knowledge of Transfer Agency operations and regulatory requirements
  • Result-oriented with an ownership and accountability mindset
  • Commercial acumen - Understanding of cost/budgets
  • Drive pay for performance and culture of performance differentiation
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and should be able to prioritize the duties effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel; exposure to AWD and Transfer Agency platforms preferred
  • Executive presence, managing with influence and effective communication across stakeholder groups both regionally and globally
