Integra LifeSciences Corporation is a fast growing, dynamic life sciences company.  The company operates in an industry that will allow you as a Transactional Tax Manager to work on a variety of projects. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Transactional Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international VAT laws and regulations, optimizing tax processes, and providing strategic advice to the organization. This position plays a key role in managing indirect tax matters (e.g., VAT, GST, & SALES & USE) across business operations, reducing risks, and identifying opportunities for business improvement in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Key duties and responsibilities of the Tax Manager include:

  • Ensure accurate preparation, review and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat Reports, and other related Filings with the company’s 3rd party preparer.
  • Manage VAT audits and tax authority communications, ensuring timely response and resolution.
  • Monitor new and proposed VAT legislation and regulations, determine their impact on the

Company, and communicate relevant findings to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Provide VAT Guidance to Leadership, finance, and business teams for transactions and contracts.
  • Assess VAT implications of cross-boarder transactions and ensure the proper VAT treatment for domestic and international activities.
  • Advise management of VAT structures that will reduce liability and create efficient tax solutions.
  • Continue to develop and improve VAT compliance processes, policies, and systems.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and various other teams to optimize systems for VAT compliance.
  • Identify VAT opportunities for savings, recoveries, and efficiencies.
  • Educate internal teams on VAT compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Mitigate VAT risk through proactive review of business operations and transaction flows.
  • Build relationships with and regularly meet with trade-compliance to understand the business and align VAT and customs policies.
  • Collaborate with accounting to develop an account reconciliation process.
  • Collaborate on acquisitions and divestitures to set up the company with the best transactional tax practices.
  • Manage the transactional tax engine.
  • Provided guidance as required for VAT, GST & HST returns and issues in the Asia Pacific Region.
  • Manage the preparation of the Sales & Use Tax returns with 3rd party preparer.
  • Manage the data flow between the company and 3rd party preparer.
  • Assist the tax director in sales tax account reconciliation.
  • Assist the tax director in the management of sales tax credits and collaboration with 3rd party to file amended returns or refund credits.
  • Collaborate with Tax Director on Sales Tax Audits.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

  • CPA certification preferred and/or
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in VAT or Indirect tax, preferably in a multinational setting or a tax advisory firm
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the team
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and focus on exceeding goals
  • Solid understanding of European VAT legislation and cross-boarder transactions; knowledge of global VAT/GST regulations is a plus
  • Understanding of OneSource Determination or other like software
  • Proficiency in Alteryx or other like software a plus
  • Limited travel

Additional Information:
This is a hybrid role, and the ideal candidate will be based out of Princeton, NJ. The hybrid schedule requires in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Salary Pay Range:

$109,250.00 - $149,500.00 USD Salary

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
