Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh Risk Singapore. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
You will work within our regional Transactional Risk team in Asia, alongside former M&A lawyers based in Singapore and Thailand, focusing on warranty & indemnity (W&I) insurance and other M&A-related insurance products. Reporting to the Transactional Risk Practice Leader for Asia, you will receive ongoing training, mentoring, and coaching to develop your skills and thrive in the role.
We will count on you to:
- Become an expert on various transactional risk insurance solutions, insurers, and related matters.
- Provide advice on availability, appropriateness, market conditions, marketing and placement strategy, pricing, terms and conditions, and required documentation for M&A transactions.
- Execute insurance marketing and placement, including obtaining indicative terms, designing insurance programs, underwriting negotiations, and finalizing placements.
- Support the PEMA Asia team in building strong relationships with private equity and corporate clients and their advisors to generate new business revenue.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers’ underwriters to secure the best transactional risk insurance solutions and underwriting outcomes.
- Participate in business development initiatives such as presentations, workshops, client meetings, insurer meetings, and industry events.
What you need to have:
- Tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department with substantial M&A experience, including legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, share subscription agreements, and other M&A transaction documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication in English and Korean, relationship-building, teamwork, empathy, conflict resolution, leadership, and adaptability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate accountability, integrity, initiative, and professionalism.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
