What you’ll do
As an AML Intern, you will gain hands-on experience and valuable exposure to various facets of Financial Crime Compliance. Your mission is to ensure quality and speed while gleaning key concepts from seasoned professionals. You will be responsible for:
Reviewing and proposing the dispositioning of AML/Transaction Monitoring alerts within established SLAs.
Consolidating and conducting research to identify suspicious patterns or clarify customer activity and making meaningful recommendations.
Drafting and preparing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), including facilitating offboarding and blacklisting processes.
Ensuring all case notes are comprehensive, audit-ready, and align strictly with internal policies.
Maintaining a high standard of accuracy to ensure "right-first-time" dispositioning in a high-pressure environment.
What you’ll need
We are looking for a highly focused and analytical individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to our compliance mission.
Current student or recent tertiary graduate (Diploma/Degree) in Business, Law, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
Strong interest in financial crime compliance is essential, and prior experience in AML/KYC or transaction monitoring is a significant advantage.
Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) and quick to learn new software.
Sharp attention to detail with the ability to spot red flags in complex data.
Able to meet daily targets with high accuracy and handle sensitive data discreetly.
