The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to design, develop, and deliver specialized forensics-based human signature collection training programs. This role combines instructional design expertise with knowledge in forensic collections, Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE), and tactical operations to create and maintain world-class training for mission customers.
Responsibilities:
Training Development:
Maintain and deliver comprehensive forensic-based human signature collection courses, specializing in forensic touch, latent print photography, aseptic techniques, fingerprint collection and DNA trace sample collection.
Conduct assessments of curriculum to ensure training meets evolving mission requirements.
Review, evaluate, and revise existing courseware to maintain currency, accuracy, and relevance to operational requirements.
Define learning objectives, establish performance standards, conduct task analysis, and ensure proper content sequencing throughout all training materials.
Establish and maintain infrastructure for all classroom equipment, training aids, and instructional materials.
Training Delivery & Assessments:
Conduct forensic training courses both on-site and off-site, incorporating lectures, demonstrations, and extensive hands-on practical exercises.
Ensure training addresses all levels of customer requirements and maintains relevance to current operational assignments.
Conduct and analyze course evaluations from students and senior personnel to validate and assess training effectiveness, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvements to ensure operational relevancy.
Logistics & Support:
Provide logistics and coordination support for deployable training equipment including packing, organizing, inventorying, and shipping.
Research and assist in procurement specifications for new training equipment or laboratory gear.
Regular TDY travel CONUS with occasional OCONUS TDY required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of total relevant professional experience, including:
At least 4 years of experience in delivering training course materials at a professional level.
At least 6 years of specialized experience in field-related functions including law enforcement photography & forensics, special operations, or defense HUMINT communities. (Note: Years may overlap if you have performed training development within specialized communities)
Extensive knowledge and experience in human signature collection and preservation processes, including latent prints and DNA.
A working knowledge base of the intelligence community and how it operates.
Ability to maintain professionalism in continuously evolving training environments.
Strong understanding of organizational guidelines, identification procedures, and methods governing work activities and operational security in training contexts.
Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and coordinate complex training operations.
Active Secret clearance required prior to starting. Must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance and willing to complete CI polygraph after starting.
Valid US Passport.
Valid US Driver's License.
Ability to travel regularly CONUS with occasional OCONUS travel (estimated 20-30%).
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience with instructional design, curriculum development, or training delivery
Experience providing forensic training specifically to SMUs and HUMINT
Experience as a HUMINT collector with at least 2 years of operational experience.
Experience with forensic laboratory operations and procedures.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$68,400-$143,700
