The Role
Proofpoint is looking for a Manager of a Business Development team. This person will manage and grow a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for driving qualifying opportunities that build pipeline for the Commercial sales organization. This individual will be a coach who has a deep understanding of how to overcome common obstacles and has a passion to teach others how to become a top performer.
Your day-to-day
Lead BDR team responsible for outbound prospecting and setting qualified opportunities
Lead weekly meeting reviews with BDR team as well as 1:1’s
Measure and continually find ways to improve process and performance-Challenge status quo
Communicate with sales leadership to ensure the BDR team is meeting pipeline expectations
Build out predictable reporting/forecasting for the BDR team performance
Work with marketing to create and implement programs
Coach team in use of Salesforce, Outreach.io, DiscoverOrg
Maintains a culture of accountability, hard work, and innovation for themselves and their team
What you bring to the team
3+ Years of experience leading high-performing sales development team
2+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS
Experience with Salesforce.com and Outreach.io
