About the role

Join our Business Aviation Training Centre in Vienna (Schwechat) as a Training Manager and help shape the pilot training experience in Central Europe. You’ll be part of our global Business Aviation Training and leadership team, working at the intersection of operational excellence, customer experience, and instructor development.

Our newest business aviation training centre in Vienna, Austria, is purpose-built to deliver advanced, simulator-based pilot training. The 8,000-square-metre facility is designed for growth—supporting up to nine Full Flight Simulators—and currently operates six state-of-the-art devices, including the G550, PH100/300, Global 7500, and Global 6000 Vision.

This is a highly visible leadership role, with a key focus on managing, motivating, and developing a team of approximately 40 Synthetic Flight Instructors.

We offer a permanent (non-contract), full-time position. Occasional work on public holidays may be required based on customer needs. Relocation support to Vienna is available for the successful candidate.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the overall supervision and delivery of flight training activities in the assigned fleet(s).

  • Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of ground and flight training in assigned classrooms and aircraft simulators.

  • Partner with Account Executives, Scheduling, Regulatory and Standards teams to enable seamless training delivery.

  • Run quarterly Standards meetings to strengthen instructor standardization and ensure compliance across the network.

  • Develop and track instructor training plans.

  • Liaise with Technical Services and Fleet Chiefs to keep simulator data current and ensure simulators include all customer-required material.

  • Build the annual client course training plan and course schedules based on Sales projections.

  • Manage resources to meet or exceed the required number of training events.

  • Maintain instructor HR profiles (compensation changes, allowances, transfers, promotions, and leaves of absence).

  • Create, maintain, and nurture close relationships with key customers’ flight operations and training departments.

What you’ll bring

  • EASA ATPL licence required (valid, or valid within the last 7 years).

  • Instructor experience (or equivalent).

  • Leadership experience managing teams.

  • Ability to focus and perform in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

  • Adaptable—readily accepts change and adjusts accordingly.

  • Strong customer/client orientation.

  • Additional regulatory exposure is a plus (e.g., FAA, GCAA, GACA, CAAC, and other aviation regulators and regulations).
