The Opportunity:
The Program Manager for Surface Training Systems Program office (PMS 339) requires the following professional and engineering services to support all strategic program planning, policy, research and development, acquisition, technical insertion and life-cycle management of surface training platforms to educate and ensure the competency of U.S. Navy Sailors through delivery of aligned, consistent and proven training solutions.
Responsibilities:
Works independently and with a team.
Provides instruction to students on the skills to assess, troubleshoot and operate within specifications.
Instruction is focused on Steering and Thrust Control Watchstation operations, alignment of systems in accordance with Engineering Operational Sequencing System (EOSS), technical publication guidance, and Sound Shipboard Operating Principles and Procedures.
In order to perform instruction must have knowledge in Ship Control System, Navigation, Mechanical Steering Systems, Command Control Communications Computers & Intelligence (C4I); Electronic Cooling Water Systems; 400 hertz; Aegis Computer Network Technician I/II, SPY, Vertical Launching System, Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Surface Vessel Torpedo Tube, and Embedded Training Systems (ETS).
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in any Discipline or 15+ years of relevant naval experience
7+ years professional experience in curriculum development
Navy Instructor Experience
Desired:
Advanced degree and/or Navy Training Systems discipline
10+ years professional experience in curriculum development

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$81,200 - 170,600 USD
