We are recruiting for a Trainee Project Manager to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.
You will be supported and mentored by experienced project management professionals within the team and given the training and opportunities you need to develop and expand your project management, business development and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects.
Heysham 2 is a nuclear power station on the north west coast of England near Lancaster. Heysham is the only site in the UK to have two operating nuclear power stations. Since 1988 Heysham 2 has generated 295TWh of zero carbon electricity.
The role will see you working as part of a large client-led team at Heysham 2, with the ideal person required to be site based.
As a Trainee Project Manager, you will work alongside our experienced project managers, gaining a deep understanding of project management. This role is ideal for those looking to transition into project management. You will gain invaluable experience in project planning, execution, and delivery.
Role responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and execution of projects, bring together project activities and maintain project documentation.
Liaise with team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Prepare project documents, including plans, schedules, and budgets.
Participate in project discussions and take part in team meetings.
Qualifications - External
No formal qualifications required but must have A-Levels or equivalent.
Would require to be on site at Heysham 2 five days a week to be able to learn and develop.
Flexible self-starters who are keen to drive their career forward.
Adaptable to change, with a desire for learning new things.
Have the permanent right to work in the UK (essential).
