Job Summary

The Traffic/Transportation Engineer (Intermediate Level) will assist engineers and engineering staff in various project support roles.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct traffic analysis and develop traffic models using industry-standard software such as PTV Vissim, Synchro, AutoTURN, and similar tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of transportation and traffic engineering reports, traffic impact assessments, plans, and technical documentation.
  • Collect, process, and analyze traffic and transportation data, including turning movement counts, travel time surveys, and capacity analyses.
  • Support the development, calibration, and validation of traffic simulation models.
  • Apply relevant transportation engineering standards, codes, and guidelines in performing assigned tasks.
  • Prepare technical figures, simulations, tables, graphics, and presentations for client submission.
  • Coordinate with traffic engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely delivery of project requirements.
  • Participate in fieldwork activities such as traffic surveys, site visits, and inspections as required.
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules, deliverables, and documentation to ensure quality and timely completion.
  • Participate in BUILD (TYLin’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program) initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PRC Licensed) in the Philippines is preferred but not mandatory for intermediate level.
  • Strong proficiency in traffic analysis and modeling software, particularly PTV Vissim and Synchro (required); experience with AutoTURN and other traffic tools is an advantage.
    Solid understanding of traffic engineering principles, capacity analysis, and transportation planning concepts.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel) and preparation of technical reports and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to coordinate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork as required.
