Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong expertise in FX Trading and Trade Surveillance platforms such as OneTick and Actimize. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands‑on technical capability, and a solid understanding of front‑office trading workflows and market‑abuse controls.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Iselin, NJ is $120k - $122k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject‑matter expert (SME) on FX trading and RFQ workflows, bridging business needs with technical solutions.
  • Work closely with surveillance, compliance, and technology teams to analyze, implement, and enhance trade surveillance controls (e.g., Spoofing, Layering, Frontrunning).
  • Perform detailed data analysis using SQL and interpret results to support alert tuning, enhancements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams working on time-series database platforms such as OneTick or KDB.
  • Independently manage tasks, deliver high‑quality work on time, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide user stories, acceptance criteria, and support iterative delivery. 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of FX trading products and workflows.
  • In‑depth understanding of RFQ trading mechanisms.
  • Solid knowledge of Trade Surveillance controls and market‑abuse patterns (Spoofing, Layering, Frontrunning, etc.).
  • Hands‑on SQL expertise required.
  • Experience working with time‑series databases (OneTick or KDB) is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with technical and business teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
