Foodstuffs Landing Drive, Mangere, Auckland Full Time

Ko wai mātou – About us
Kia ora.  We’re Foodies.  You know New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square right?  That’s us!  With 300+ stores and over 27,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life.  Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve, and we celebrate our people - our taonga, every day for being uniquely them.

Te Tūranga – About the role
The Employee Experience (EEx) Programme is our co-op-wide reset of how our people and payroll experience works; simpler, smarter, and designed for the moments that matter. We’re modernising systems and streamlining processes so it’s easier for our teams (stores, Distribution Centres (DC’s) and Support Centre) to get stuff done and focus on customers.

As the Time Process Lead for EEx, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring time capture is accurate, compliant, and payroll‑safe. Your work will sit at the front line of payroll accuracy, focusing on how time is recorded, approved, and translated into correct pay outcomes and leave processing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and owning end‑to‑end time recording processes (timesheets, rosters, overtime, allowances, penalty rates, approvals)
  • Interpreting employment agreements, awards, and rules to ensure accurate time capture and pay outcomes
  • Defining and enforcing approval models, cut‑offs, and escalation pathways to ensure payroll‑ready inputs
  • Ensuring time inputs correctly trigger leave processing and align with downstream payroll outcomes
  • Embedding legislative and contractual compliance across all time processes
  • Leading testing, UAT scenarios, and real‑world edge case validation for time and attendance changes
  • Establishing controls, exception monitoring, and proactive issue resolution to minimise payroll risk
  • Supporting leader adoption, training, and readiness for new time and payroll ways of working

This is a 24 month fixed term contract.
