THE ROLE

The Ticket Seller Supervisor oversees daily box office operations in the Box Office. Responsibilities include supervising and training ticket sellers, managing ticketing systems, handling cash reconciliation and deposits, and preparing final event statements with supporting documentation. The supervisor also supports hands-on sales, assists with ticket requests, and ensures smooth opening and closing of box office operations for events.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide professional communication between promoters, public, box office staff and venue staff
  • Assist the daily operations as outlined in the Legends Global box office manual
  • Coordinate event information between promoters, facility personnel, box office staff and ticketing company in a timely manner
  • Prepare and presents final box office statements to promoters, directors, finance and event manager with related backup paperwork for each event
  • Assist in completion of daily reconciliation and closing reports as required
  • Supervise box office operations at various venue locations
  • Supervise, and instruct cashiers/ticket sellers on the Ticketmaster and APEX ticketing systems along with other aspects of box office operations
  • Assist or sell tickets as needed at the box office windows or internally
  • Open and Close box offices for daily ticket sales and events
  • Assist in processing ticket requests as needed
  • Daily balancing of cashiers, maintaining records of cash received, credit cards and cash banks
  • Submit daily bank deposits
  • Other duties as assigned

   Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, & multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
  • Manage staff and maintain all box office policies and procedures
  • Must possess working knowledge of the Ticketmaster and AXS ticketing computer systems
  • Must comprehend and use bookkeeping and standard accounting/cash handling practices
  • Ability to assist customers with phone/app maneuverability
  • Must operate personal computers using Windows and various Microsoft software
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must meet ASM credit guidelines

  Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
  • Must have one year of Box Office experience
  • Ticketmaster system experience required
  • Must have basic knowledge of Box Office operations
