Role Summary
Leverages extensive expertise and industry experience in financial planning and retirement to contribute thought leadership and methodology design for the individual investors business unit. Contributes to the development and articulation of the firm's points of view externally and internally. Demonstrates the firm's thought leadership through marketing content that improves the firm's client engagement, education, and service.


Responsibilities

  • Applies extensive expertise and industry experience to develop and articulate our insights and perspectives on complex financial planning and retirement topics.
  • Performs analysis, including spreadsheet-based modeling, on financial planning topics to inform our point of view. Leverages existing research, both inside and outside the firm.
  • Clearly communicates insights used in materials for digital content, including webinars, podcasts and social media, as well as interactions with the media. By doing so, enhances the firm's brand and meaningfully advances clients' ability to meet their financial goals.
  • Collaborates with advice, client experience and client-facing teams in the individual investors business unit, as well as marketing teams across the enterprise, on prioritization and development of content. Works with marketing teams on annual reviews of existing content to continually improve our message.
  • Supports the application of thought leadership to the methodology for advisory services and educational tools.
  • Collaborates with marketing and thought leadership teams across the firm to ensure efforts align with business needs and produce content of consistent quality. Supports education of the firm's associates on financial planning topics.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66


Preferred:

  • Certified Financial Planner® professional
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Expertise in a facet of financial planning beyond investments and retirement, such as estate planning or insurance solutions
  • Client-facing financial planning experience

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$108,000.00 - $184,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$119,000.00 - $203,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$135,000.00 - $230,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
