As a Thermal Test Engineer, you will perform thermal, thermal vacuum and climatic tests during the development, qualification and acceptance of components and subsystems for our Launch Vehicle. You will be in close contact with the avionics, propulsion, and launch vehicle teams, being one of the first to operate their parts on simulated flight conditions and helping figure out the failure modes and improvements needed.
More specifically, you will:
Plan, prepare and execute qualification, acceptance and development test-campaigns
Post-process and evaluate test data, write reports according to internal standards
Monitoring test operations and activities
Develop and maintain internal test standards, procedures and sequences
Maintain, calibrate, and upgrade testing equipment and facilities
Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards
Assist in designing test rigs and laying out sensors
Qualification Checklist:
B.Sc / M.Sc in the field of aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar
Relevant experience in hardware qualification & acceptance for Aerospace in thermal, thermal vacuum and climatic testing
Hands-on experience with thermal vacuum chambers, other climatic testing chambers and thermometry
Understanding of Aerospace test standards such SMCS, RCC etc. and command over it to perform test requirement tailoring
Ability to perform in high-stress environments, maintaining focus and concentration for long durations
Adapting sufficiently and quickly to a changing work environment
High quality and safety mindset paired with a high attention to detail and can-do attitude
Communicate actively and openly in a constructive manner
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
