Are you ready to apply your technical expertise to some of the world’s most advanced uncrewed vessels (USVs)? As a Testing Engineer, you play a key role in bringing nextgeneration USVs, ROVs and sensor systems to life. This handson, sitebased role sits at the core of our global operations, where precision, curiosity and problemsolving directly impact the performance of our cuttingedge marine technology.
From Factory and Harbour Acceptance Testing to troubleshooting, verification and early commissioning support, you ensure every asset meets the highest standards before going to sea. Working closely with production, engineering, commissioning and testing teams, you help refine testing frameworks, improve reliability and deliver missionready vessels.

Your role and responsibilities:
You execute predefined testing criteria according to schedule and quality standards;
You configure vessel parameters and prepare assets for testing;
You perform failuremode verification and troubleshoot hardware, software and integration issues;
You replicate faults, identify root causes and document findings and resolutions;
You provide input to engineering and testing teams on test objectives and success criteria;
You support handover and knowledge transfer during soft landing of assets in Plymouth;
You maintain configuration control, calibration records, inventories and all test documentation;
You ensure safety, quality and compliance while contributing to risk assessments and audits.
Your track record:
You bring a solid educational foundation and relevant industry experience;
You hold a full driving licence and are excited to travel regularly for onsite work;
You have handson experience as a field technician or offshore engineer;
You understand vessel systems and subsystems, from installation through testing;
You have excellent English language skills and work comfortably with modern ICT tools;
What Fugro offers
Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from to €3300,- and € 3900,- gross a month. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role;
29 holidays per year based on a fulltime employment (of which 4 are appointed by Fugro management) and the possibility to purchase 12 additional days;
