Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Testing & Commissioning Manager to join our team! The Testing & Commissioning (T&C) is responsible for overseeing the testing, commissioning, and reporting processes for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all systems, equipment, and installations are tested, verified, and commissioned according to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The manager also plays a critical role in preparing detailed reports, tracking progress, and ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders. Strong technical expertise, leadership, and organizational skills are essential to ensure project success and operational readiness.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for all project systems and equipment.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure testing and commissioning activities are executed efficiently.
Monitor and track the progress of testing and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and milestones.
Prepare detailed reports on testing and commissioning outcomes, highlighting any issues, risks, or deviations.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements during testing and commissioning phases.
Conduct inspections, performance tests, and functional checks for systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and other critical installations.
Identify and resolve technical issues during testing and commissioning, collaborating with engineering teams and contractors.
Manage documentation, including test reports, commissioning certificates, and compliance records.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to provide updates on testing and commissioning progress.
Ensure proper integration of all systems and equipment, verifying operational readiness before handover.
Implement and enforce health and safety protocols during testing and commissioning activities.
Drive continuous improvement in testing and commissioning processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to the testing and commissioning team.
Prepare and present regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 12–15 years of experience in testing, commissioning, and reporting for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong technical knowledge of systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation.
Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to testing and commissioning (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC).
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and reporting software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple testing and commissioning activities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with GCC construction standards and fast-track project environments is preferred.
Professional certifications in testing and commissioning or project management (e.g., PMP, LEED, CxA) are highly desirable.
