To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Staff Testing System Engineer located in Shenzhen.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Test System Architecture & Planning:

Define system-level architecture for automated test equipment, including the selection of key instruments (e.g., power supplies, electronic loads), system controllers, and software frameworks to meet product test requirements.

  • System Integration & Software Development:

Lead the integration of hardware and software components. Develop, debug, and optimize test sequencers/executives using platforms such as NI LabVIEW/TestStand, Python, or C# to create automated validation and production test programs.

  • Requirement Analysis & Specification:

Collaborate with product design and validation teams to analyze product specifications, derive detailed test requirements, and translate them into system and software specifications.

  • Cross-functional Leadership:

Work as the technical nexus between Test EE engineer, Test mechanical engineer, test SW engineer, product design engineers, and the manufacturing team to ensure the test system meets all technical and operational goals.

  • System Validation & Documentation:

Develop and execute system validation plans (e.g., GR&R, Measurement System Analysis) to ensure test accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility. Create comprehensive documentation, including system architecture diagrams, software manuals, and user training guides.

  • Deployment & Support:

Manage the deployment of test systems to NPI and manufacturing sites. Provide high-level troubleshooting support and train technicians and engineers on system operation.

  • Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives for test systems, focusing on reducing test time, improving efficiency, enhancing data analytics capabilities, and lowering the cost of test.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying automated test systems, preferably in the power electronics industry (server power supply, inverter, UPS, etc.).
  • Proven expertise in system-level integration, combining instrumentation hardware, communication buses and test software.
  • Solid understanding of test and measurement fundamentals, instrument control, and data acquisition principles.
  • Excellent system-level problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues spanning hardware, software, and firmware.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • Knowledge of power electronics fundamentals and understanding of key power supply parameters and test methodologies.
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Fluency in English, including speaking, comprehension, and writing skills.
  • Experience in global collaboration is an advantage.
