Job Description:

Accountability

1. Perform test flights at Airbus Tianjin Delivery Centre  
2. Perform in service aircraft test flights worldwide  
3. Deliver specific test flying training course to Customers  

Main activities

⮚Strategic activities  
Responsibilities in developing the strategic direction for the company as a whole, or in  developing the implementation plan for operationalizing the company’s strategy  
1. Support ACO1V for all Test Airspace related topics pertaining to flight test  
2. Support ACO1V with all Safety related topics pertaining to flight test  


⮚ Client related activities  
Responsibilities in managing both internal and external customers, and ensuring there is  effective customer relationship management  
1. Ensure effective Customer relationship during aircraft delivery activities  
2. Enhance Customer perception of Airbus during the aircraft delivery process  
3. Enhance Customer perception of Airbus when providing specific training courses for aircraft  testing  


⮚ Operational activities 
Responsibilities in running the day-to-day operations, and ensuring there is effective use of  resources to achieve all the targets set  
1. Act as Pilot for test flight activities in Airbus Delivery Centre(s)  
2. Ensure all activities are conducted safely in compliance with instructions from Airbus Flight Test  & Integration Department  
3. Ensure continuing qualification (pilot license, medical certificate and recency) on all assigned  Airbus aircraft  
4. Support ACO1V for all tasks associated with flight test operations  
5. Support Airbus Training for specific customer training courses related to flight test activities  

Outputs

⮚ Financial Outputs  
1. Manage costs of flight operations through safe and efficient conduct of all flight test activity

2. Manage costs of training Customers through in-depth knowledge of systems, operations and  instructional techniques to minimize remedial training of trainees.  


⮚ Client related Outputs  
1. Directly influence a positive Customer perception towards Airbus through professionalism  conveyed during all Customer Acceptance activities.  
2. Directly influence a positive Customer perception towards Airbus through professionalism  conveyed during all training activities with Customers  


⮚ Operational Outputs 
1. Safe and efficient flight test activities  
2. ACO1V management support for all ACO1V related business  
3. Deliver effective training activities  

Qualifications  


• License & Certificates:  
o Hold an Air Transport Pilot License recognized by CAAC  
o Hold a valid Medical Class 1  
o Hold a flight test rating 2 or graduate from a recognized* Test Pilot School “B  
course” or equivalent. The flight test rating is not required for airline pilots  
with a technical background.  
(*Recognized Test Pilot School: ETPS, EPNER, USNTPS, USAFTPS,  
Airbus AFTS, and all test schools approved by EASA. )


• Flying Experience:  
o Minimum 3000 flying hours Corporate or Military operations OR  
o Minimum 5000 flying hours Airline Operations  
• Experience as pilot-in-command: minimum 1000 hours  


• Basic Skills:  
o Flexible to adapt to an operational and reactive environment  
o Fluent English language (Chinese, French or German as an advantage)

• Soft Skills: effective communicator, problem solver, strategic thinker  
• Technical Skills: Aerospace related education (flight test and engineering an asset)
