General Summary:

The Test Engineer II is a key contributor on an Agile delivery team, responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of software solutions through a thoughtful balance of manual and automated testing. This role partners closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to validate new and enhanced functionality across complex systems and integrations.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in improving how testing is done, not just executing what already exists.

Experience with Salesforce is helpful but not required; candidates who have stood up, evolved, or meaningfully contributed to test automation frameworks will be well positioned to succeed in this role.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar quality-focused role

  • Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing in Agile environments

  • Experience designing, building, or evolving test automation frameworks (language and tooling flexible)

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to estimate testing effort, manage priorities, and adapt within fast-moving sprints

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset

  • Salesforce experience is not required; willingness and ability to learn new platforms is essential

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset who actively looks for ways to improve quality and processes

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of new and existing features through a mix of manual and automated testing

  • Test assigned user stories within two-week sprints by validating functionality in lower and acceptance environments, including creating and managing test data

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test coverage, contributing to or evolving existing automation frameworks

  • Execute and monitor regression test suites, investigate failures, and identify root causes related to code, data, or test logic

  • Partner closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to refine acceptance criteria and translate requirements into effective test coverage

  • Create and maintain core test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and execution results

  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and outcomes

  • Participate actively in backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives, clearly communicating risks and progress

  • Advocate for quality best practices and contribute ideas that improve testing efficiency, automation effectiveness, and team delivery

  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows (tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar are beneficial but not required)

  • Take ownership of learning new systems and technologies, including Salesforce where applicable
