This is an oportunity for a test engineer, with the main mission of preparing and performing the acceptance of the electronic units, flight deliverables (FMs) to achieve the delivery of the unit according to the schedule, cost and quality requirements of the project.
On a daily basis, you will report directly to the Head of Testing. The candidate will be part of the Test Manager's Extended Team along with other engineers and test technicians. Throughout the project, the testing team will work closely with the Technical Manager, along with the Project Manager, the Head of Product Assurance, and the Industrial Manager. The tasks of the Test Engineer will be the acceptance of flight deliverables. To this end, the candidate will be part of a team of engineers and test technicians in charge of the acceptance of the Flight Units, in line with the objectives of the Project and the Team.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Assist the Test Manager in technical discussions with the customer
Assist the Test Manager in the evaluation of requirements and the identification of risks.
Collaborate in the evaluation of requirements to define the architecture of the EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment). Technical supervision of the development of the EGSE and participation in the EGSE validation test campaign.
Support the Technical Manager in resolving technical issues, working closely with experts as needed per quality and programmatic standards.
Prepare acceptance documentation: Test Plan, Detailed Test Procedures (Electrical & Functional, Environmental, EMC, etc.) to support the robustness of the manufacturing in front of the different stakeholders during the different project milestones (Requirements Review, Preliminary & Architecture Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, Evidence Review Board, etc.).
Participation in the coding of test sequences (based on Python or other languages) maximizing the coverage of the tests to validate the integrity of the design. Final validation of test sequences on engineering models (EBB, EM, etc.) or specific test configurations.
Execution of integration, qualification and acceptance test campaigns for the corresponding models (EQM, QM, PFM, FM), including the development of the necessary devices for (tools, vibration and thermal accessories, etc.).
Preparation of test reports and information of the tests in execution, including all the relevant information of the test campaigns.
During the recurring phase of the project, the candidate must ensure a thorough follow-up of any deviation, evolution or discrepancy of the project.
Customer-oriented, able to establish a relationship of trust based on proactive and continuous support to demonstrate confidence in design and manufacturing.
Skills set required
We are looking for candidates with the following background skills and experience:
Master's degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science (electronics specialty)
At least two years of experience in validation and verification of electronic units
Advanced level of English and Spanish, both written and spoken
Experience in the use of generic laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, etc.)
Experience in software programming (Python, C++, C#, etc.)
Technical excellence and spirit of challenge
Digital mindset (task automation, scripting, use of digital design tools and simulators)
Excellent communication and reporting skills (both internal and external)
Customer orientation
Strong spirit of teamwork and cooperation to motivate colleagues
