Job Description:
Primary Skills
Strong experience in Database Testing using SQL
Expertise in writing complex SQL queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries)
Experience in File-to-File Data Validation
Hands-on experience with Volume Testing / Large Data Set Validation
Experience in data reconciliation and backend testing
Ability to validate data pipelines and data transformations
Experience validating data flow between systems and databases
Strong understanding of data integrity, accuracy, and consistency checks
Secondary Skills
API Testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
Ability to validate API responses with database data
Knowledge of JSON/XML validation
Technical Skills
SQL (Mandatory)
Database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
AWS data validation
Experience working with large data volumes
Knowledge of data migration and ETL validation
Responsibilities
Lead the database testing efforts for backend data validation
Validate data from AWS sources and ensure correct PNR creation on PID data
Perform file-to-file comparison and data reconciliation
Execute volume testing for large data sets
Write complex SQL queries for validating backend data
Validate data transformation and data pipelines
Perform API testing and cross-verify responses with database data
Coordinate with development, data engineering, and QA teams
Review test cases, test strategies, and defect tracking
Experience
6–10 years of experience in Database / Backend Testing
Experience in a Lead role preferred
Key Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with large data sets and complex queries
Experience in leading testing teams and mentoring testers
