Technology Lead Business Analyst-Vice President

Role Overview: 

This critical role will be within the Architecture Governance organization. The successful candidate will be working across the organization supporting over 6,000 applications on the implementation and management of Citi’s Architecture strategy.

This will involve working with senior leadership and their teams to ensure there is greater transparency around the current state and future state of our application portfolio and identify all technology risks known / unknown.

This is both an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a growing team and help drive improvements to policy and efficiencies in process execution supporting technology teams across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be handling the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with technology, controls and security teams
  • Provide both process and analytical support of Citi’s key application and technology architecture inventories
  • Conducts in-depth reviews with teams to ensure technology solutions are correctly represented in inventories
  • Provides expert guidance to technology teams on Citi Architecture Policy
  • Analyse application/technology state, trends and policy compliance through the production of management reports
  • Engage with technology SMEs to resolve any blockers and process inefficiencies
  • Drive adoption of best practices through each of business and functions
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of data with the analysis and reporting
  • Guide and enforce adherence to architectural process guidelines through collaborative reviews with project teams and SMEs, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Knowledge / Experience:

  • 10+ YOE is a must have.
  • Proven experience in a complex & regulated technology environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to influence across all levels of the technology organization – driving teams to complete reviews and providing best practice SME knowledge to support
  • Has experience across SDLC activities and associated controls & tollgates
  • Expert user of JIRA and Confluence tools
  • Expert user of desktop tools including Excel, Visio & PowerPoint
  • Skilled in both crafting detailed business requirements and conducting thorough reviews to validate their effectiveness and adherence to standards.

Skills:

  • Creative problem solver comfortable with working in rapidly evolving landscape and uncertainty.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups from senior stakeholders and clients to junior team members.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience collecting, analysing and synthesizing large datasets
  • Has a strong focus on risk and controls
  • Able to assess technology requests with a blend of both risk and business benefit, providing constructive feedback and relevant recommendations
  • Experience with technology standards and procedures, particularly related to architecture
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Experience delivering within an agile methodology
