POSITION OVERVIEW

BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs, supporting the growth of small and medium‑sized businesses across the country. As a Technology Business Advisor, Client Delivery, you support entrepreneurs by delivering high‑quality standard and custom digital technology advisory projects. Your work focuses on digital transformation, business software selection (ERP, CRM, and industry‑specific solutions), and implementation support. Your contributions directly help Canadian businesses grow, modernize, and succeed—while working in an environment where you can be yourself at work.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Deliver standard and customized digital technology advisory engagements, including digital strategy, system selection, implementation support, and executive‑level coaching for SME clients.

  • Lead end‑to‑end project delivery by managing scope, timelines, budget, risks, and resources across multiple concurrent client engagements.

  • Provide hands‑on guidance and oversight to ensure project objectives, quality standards, and deliverables are met, contributing directly where required.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in ERP, CRM, and enterprise systems, staying current on market trends to inform advisory approaches, tools, and methodologies.

  • Collaborate closely with Client Partners and internal stakeholders to support sales efforts by demonstrating technical expertise and solution fit.

  • Participate actively in business development by engaging clients, identifying needs, and contributing to solution design and proposal development.

  • Support practice growth through outreach activities, including the development of marketing and promotional content aligned with advisory offerings.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, commerce, engineering, or a related field with a focus on information systems.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a management consulting or professional services environment.

  • At least 6 years of hands‑on experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, enterprise applications, and industry‑specific business solutions.

  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP systems and modules across multiple industries, including manufacturing and construction.

  • Proven experience managing and delivering both standard and custom consulting projects, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource management.

  • Experience designing and documenting business processes related to enterprise systems.

  • Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for SME clients.

  • Experience developing and implementing digital technology roadmaps.

  • Hands‑on experience applying AI solutions within business operations environments.

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and system integration methods and tools.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in client service delivery contexts.

  • Strong client service orientation with demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams.

  • Willingness and ability to travel within a limited geographic area, with occasional travel across Western Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or related professional designation.

  • Experience working in a consulting firm environment.

  • Bilingualism (English and French).
