Technology Adoption Lead

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Role Overview

The Technology Adoption Lead drives strategic adoption of critical technologies across the organization. The role ensures we get maximum value from existing tools while enabling smooth, low-friction introduction of new systems. This leader will build scalable adoption and training capabilities, shape release-readiness processes, and influence software priorities through a balanced mix of user insight, operational understanding, and business objectives. This leader helps identify pain points and suggests crucial automations or process changes to eliminate the barriers. The position starts as an independent leader, with the potential to grow into a full team-building role.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Adoption & Change Leadership

  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide technology adoption strategies.
  • Create repeatable frameworks and best practices for successful tech rollouts.
  • Partner with IT, engineering, product, and operations to align on readiness and change impact.

Release Readiness & Technology Insertion

  • Lead planning and readiness for major releases and new tool introductions.
  • Ensure deployments are organized, communicated, and sequenced effectively.
  • Provide input to the solutioning team for user experience / adoption needs based on lessons learnt.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-release assessments.

Training & Enablement

  • Establish a scalable training capability for core tools and workflows.
  • Build role-based learning paths, self-service resources, and update cycles.
  • Ensure training evolves alongside product and process changes.

Insight-Driven Prioritization and Continuous improvement

  • Identify adoption barriers using data, user input, and operational analysis.
  • Work with product and engineering to integrate adoption needs into roadmaps.
  • Highlight cross-functional issues requiring coordinated interventions
  • Identify ways to reduce process steps by automations / workflows / enhancements.

Leadership & Function Building

  • Operate independently as the organizational expert in adoption and readiness.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear communication and strong execution.
  • Define and grow the long-term adoption and enablement function.

Qualifications

  • 7–12+ years in technology adoption, digital transformation, product enablement, or change leadership.
  • Experience driving organization-wide technology rollouts.
  • Strong strategic thinking and operational awareness.
  • Familiarity with change-management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience building or scaling a training or enablement function.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts into compelling job aids
  • Innate ability to empathize/anticipate end user needs and an eye for detail.

At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $163,200 - $204,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
