As a legal and regulatory compliance technician, you help institute the compliance framework and enforce related rules. You help ensure that oversight measures such as officer and employee behaviours comply with the organization’s standards. You serve as technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for your unit’s activities, initiatives and processes. The ability to tailor your approach as needed is therefore essential. You research and analyze processes, information management and data processing. You draw on your sound decision-making skills to solve technically complex problems and recommend ways to change or adjust methods and procedures to make them as effective and efficient as possible. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Carry out specialized technical tasks, studies, research and analysis. Serve as resource person for the submission of solutions and action plans

  • Provide technical support for projects and complex operational issues

  • Ensure information quality and accuracy. Produce management reports to update recommendations, determine courses of action, monitor activities and enforce rules

  • Respond to complex and special requests and follow up as needed

  • Help clients and practitioners follow your unit’s policies, standards and procedures and use its tools and systems.

What you bring to the table

  • College diploma in a related field

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Advanced-level mastery of English due to the nature of tasks, work tools, or interactions with partners or English-speaking members and clients

  • Mastery of CAPSIL, RMT/RMQ, Apexa, Dataphile, and FMS systems

  • Knowledge of independent networks: SFL/DSFIN, DSFI

  • Knowledge of MGA and National Account networks

  • Knowledge of related sectors: DGOPP, legal affairs, distribution network, etc.

  • Knowledge of networks, representatives’ contracts, as well as partners of Desjardins Financial Security

  • Mastery of the Office 365 suite
