What you will do:
Johnson Controls is searching for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Engineer to work on the technical support of JCI’s internal and customer portals. You will have an in-depth understanding of how to review and resolve customer tickets in a timely manner.
How you will do it:
You will be notified of issues through ServiceNow and help desks. You will be responsible for obtaining the necessary information to resolve issues, update application code, execute database queries, and collaborate with networking, DBAs, cloud engineers, and hardware engineers to ensure stability of JCI solutions. You will also responsible for generating statistics on tickets and advising the development teams on problem areas in the solutions. You will also be part of the customer portal agile team and assist with development and build efforts of JCI solutions. It is expected that you will point the development team to areas most affecting the customer from a support point of view.
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, specializing in computer science, engineering, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of technical support for web and mobile applications
Strong experience with ReactJS and Spring Boot development
Experience using Jira and Azure DevOps
Experience with ServiceNow or comparable ticket tracking systems
Experience with cloud platforms (with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure)
Experience with Microsoft Azure App Services, REDIS cache, and other cloud-based development tools
Experience in supporting and analyzing REST and SOAP services
Strong experience with running and creating SQL queries
Experience with JavaServer Pages (JSP) and JavaServer Faces (JSF), a plus
Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices and concepts
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience and desire to work within a fast-paced, iterative development environment

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $89,000 -$119,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
