Provide after sales on-site/off site service support, including pre-delivery checks, preventative maintenance, repairs and installation requests in a professional and efficient manner to help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Provide high levels of technical support to external customers in a timely manner
Travel interstate and overseas for training & service as workload requires
Promotes the Equipment and Instrument Service Department and consistently seek out additional revenue streams and opportunities for growth.
Forges strong relationships with customers through regular site visits/meetings associated with direct reports in order to understand customer needs and to further develop the associates.
Supervises and ensure all faults are resolved promptly and that preventative maintenance is delivered to customer.
Coordinate with supplier or vendors for all technical issue & warranty claims
Provide service quotation for repair, maintenance & calibration and achieve profitable revenue.
Explore alternatives to improve the effectiveness of department methods and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirement
Diploma in electronics/electricals/engineering is preferred.
2-5 years commercial experience in a field service engineer position, preferably within the life science or scientific industry
Proficient in verbal communication in English to effectively support customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and take initiative
Preferably possess own vehicle to customer sites to perform on‑site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
