The Release Manager oversees the end-to-end release lifecycle, ensuring that software deployments are delivered reliably, efficiently, and with minimal risk. This role acts as the central coordinator across Engineering, QA, Product, and Operations, driving standardized processes that improve release quality and accelerate time to market.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Establish and maintain consistent, repeatable deployment practices to reduce risk and improve quality.
  • Implement structured release workflows that reduce production outages and business disruption.
  • Serve as the central point of communication, aligning Engineering, QA, Product, and Operations to prevent bottlenecks and duplicate work.
  • Streamline approvals and release workflows to improve time to market for new features and updates.
  • Oversee comprehensive testing, validation, and risk assessments to prevent errors and protect customer experience.
  • Provide day-to-day support for release management inquiries and requests.
  • Coordinate scope of change, release details, and documentation generation.
  • Maintain clear rollback plans to enable rapid recovery from deployment issues.
  • Balance competing needs, resources, and timelines to keep releases on track.
  • Allow Engineering teams to focus on development by managing the coordination and orchestration of release activities.
  • Plan and schedule environment refreshes to ensure data accuracy and alignment across development, testing, and production systems.
  • Manage sandbox creation, updates, and general upkeep to support development and QA activities.
  • Salesforce expertise required in: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Einstein Chatbot, Communities, Analytics Studio, Data, Cloud, Agentforce
  • Define and communicate production deployment windows to minimize business impact and ensure smooth release execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Technology and Product Engineering organization.
  • Demonstrate strong presentation and documentation skills.
  • Train and educate engineers and stakeholders on release management processes.
  • Deliver accurate and timely insight reporting aligned with key release-related metrics to stakeholders.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Technology.
  • 4–6 years of progressive software development experience, with a minimum of 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce deployment experience.
  • Experience managing application change delivery in an agile environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning Framework, Apex, SOQL, and Visualforce.
  • Proven track record of implementing complex Salesforce solutions and integrations.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and implementing releases in a demanding, fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of deadline-driven productivity.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and governance.
  • Strong experience with Copado.
  • Strong programming skills in multiple languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven ability to think and move quickly, managing difficult trade-offs to meet deadlines.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred.

The applicable salary range for this position is $106,000 - 133,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
