Technical Project Manager

Role Summary

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading SOC audit coordination and managing change communications impacting customer-managed systems. This role serves as a key liaison across auditors, technical teams, and customers to ensure compliance, transparency, and successful execution of technical initiatives.

Operating in a regulated environment, this position manages multiple concurrent projects, balances competing priorities, and drives consistent processes that support audit readiness and system reliability.

How You’ll Make an Impact

SOC Audit Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SOC audits (e.g., SOC 1, SOC 2)
  • Coordinate audit requests, evidence collection, and responses across technical and operational teams
  • Track timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions
  • Support remediation efforts and maintain audit documentation and controls
  • Promote audit readiness through consistent processes and governance

Change Management & Customer Coordination

  • Lead planning and communication for changes impacting customer-managed systems
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and support teams to assess risks and dependencies
  • Deliver clear, timely communication to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Track change execution through completion, including validation and documentation

Project Management Execution

  • Manage technical projects with defined scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Develop project plans, track risks, and provide regular status updates
  • Balance multiple initiatives of moderate complexity and urgency
  • Ensure consistent application of project management best practices

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management
  • Experience supporting SOC audits and working with external auditors
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, or SaaS environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, including experience with customer-facing interactions
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., healthcare, SaaS, finance)
  • Familiarity with ITIL, change management, or risk management frameworks
  • PMP, CSM, or similar certification (preferred)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$102,400 - $170,600
