Technical Project Manager – Manufacturing excellence

Nordre Ringvej 9 Give Full time

Step into a role where you will manage technical projects in our production environment, e.g. implementation of new manufacturing equipment or optimization of existing to ensure efficient New Product Launches and daily operations. With your proficiency in project management, you will steer and monitor cross-functional projects with varying levels of complexity.

Meet your future team

By joining the Industrial Engineering team in Thyregod, you will work under the guidance of the Industrial Engineering Manager and collaborate with a skilled team made up of 4 Technical Project Managers and 2 Data Analysts. The team is characterized by their diverse complementary skills and ability to collaborate and bring out the best in each other – working as one team to reach our goals. Furthermore, you will get to join a team with an informal tone and a healthy sense of humor.

What we offer

The strategic role of Campus Thyregod is to function as an essential entity for creating and bringing new products and technologies to market, and in your role as Technical Project Manager, you will be pivotal in facilitating the efficient integration of technology and process enhancements to meet defined objectives during the introduction of new equipment and products.

Other projects could involve optimization of existing or purchase and implementation of new equipment in production, process optimization or finding and implementing solutions to improve ergonomics when operating the equipment. You will manage and monitor cross-functional projects and ensure that potential obstacles are mitigated in due time – in close collaboration with your project team and other relevant stakeholders.

More specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Project planning, incl. defining and agreeing on goals with project sponsor and client (internal stakeholders in the VELUX Group) followed by setting the timeline, budget and performing risk analysis

  • Project realization, incl. delegating tasks, making decisions, monitoring progress, and escalating issues to relevant people in the organization

  • Reporting on project status to project sponsor and other stakeholders (internal / external)

  • Ensuring continuous improvement of future project management processes through acknowledgement of and sharing lessons learned and conclusions from your projects

  • Making technical requirement specifications and creating the basis for decisions, e.g. for purchase of machines for manufacturing

  • Preparing the technology concept in close cooperation with internal and external partners

This role requires approximately 10-15 days of travelling per year (domestic and international).

What you will bring

As an individual, you are organized, systematic and detail-oriented, and take pride in fulfilling your duties on schedule and to the expected quality standards.. You are proficient in planning and know how to visualize a project plan and break it into suitable work packages. Key to your success is your ability to lead your projects by interacting with people and not (only) via excel sheets and power point slides. You are a skilled communicator with the ability to get people onboard and work towards one common goal. This requires advanced stakeholder management skills, and you are characterized by your ability to effectively and efficiently work across all levels of an organization and with a diverse group of employees. You enjoy being part of a team, and you know how to motivate your project team continuously to deliver high quality on time.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Hold a technically focused Master’s/Bachelor’s degree within engineering or a vocational educational background in a technical area

  • Bring some years of experience in Project Management with a technical focus

  • Bring experience from a production environment which has provided you with insights into the intersections between development functions and technical implementation in manufacturing

  • Speak and write English effortlessly, and you are able to have a conversation in Danish as well
