About your team

The Corporate Enablers technology function provides IT services to multiple business functions like Finance, HR and General Counsel, globally. FIL General Counsel Technology is responsible for providing IT solutions to the Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, Tax and Shareholder Service functions.  These are global functions comprised of approximately 400 employees based in 26 countries.  General Counsel Technology partners with its business stakeholders to identify their requirements and develop/implement technology solutions.  This includes on-premises, SaaS and Cloud native solutions, both in-house built and vendor provided. There is a strong focus on data analytics, workflow and automation tools to bring greater efficiencies to these functions. Together with this there is continued move towards greater use of Agile and DevOps practices. 

                                                                              

About your role
 

The is the role for an experienced technical project manager who should understand the overall architecture, is able to understand the systems involved and the integration points etc. The candidate will be required to work closely with the Development team and ensure smooth project delivery. Candidate should have worked on complex projects and programs in past to add value to the overall program.

About you

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Plan and track project backlog, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and milestones
  • Facilitate and lead scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Apply agile methodologies to enhance team collaboration and project efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to agile principles and promote continuous improvement.
  • Oversee delivery of project components, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
  • Manage release schedules and coordinate with teams to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Identify and remove blockers that impede project progress.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage risks and minimise their impact on the project.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and status.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate with team members and departments to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
  • Analyse project outcomes and identify areas for improvement, applying lessons learned in future projects.
  • Should have experience working on ETL, integrations, devops tools (Github, Jenkins)
  • Should have delivered technical projects in cloud, Data or AI.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Agile Project Manager, preferably SAFe certified
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
