Technical Project Manager – Digital Platform Operations

Summary

As a Technical Project Manager within the Digital Platforms Operations (DPO) department, you will lead the execution of high-impact, multi-year strategic initiatives. You will bridge the gap between deep technical hosting activities—such as platform design, security patching, and FinOps—and the business-critical need to transition our customers to modern cloud architectures. This is a high-visibility role requiring a blend of technical cloud fluency, financial discipline, and exceptional stakeholder management.

  • Impact of team output on the business : 600+ airlines customers of our platforms


 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Project Leadership: End-to-end orchestration of large-scale projects, including physical-to-cloud migrations, major infrastructure obsolescence cycles, and global technological upgrades.

  • Stakeholder & Customer Management: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers during migration phases. Manage expectations and communications across internal teams (Development, Customer Experience, Security, Finance) and external partners.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all projects adhere to DPO standards for monitoring, hosting engineering, and security patching protocols.

  • FinOps Integration: Monitor project budgets and cloud consumption; ensure that new platform designs are optimized for cost-efficiency without compromising performance.

  • Risk & Governance: Identify technical bottlenecks, projects interdependencies, risks and opportunities early in the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies to prevent downtime or data loss

Technical Profile:

  • Cloud Proficiency: Strong understanding of public cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid hosting models.

  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with platform design principles, containerization, and automated patching workflows.

  • FinOps Awareness: Ability to interpret cloud billing data and drive "right-sizing" initiatives during migrations.

Required Soft Skills:

  • Diplomacy & Influence: Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct hierarchical authority.

  • Customer Centricity: Comfortable translating complex technical roadmaps into business value for non-technical customer stakeholders.

  • Resilience: Capable of managing the long-term pressure of multi-year migration timelines.

  • Ability to communicate needs to Sr. Mgmt, explaining business value

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Proven experience on the field of platforms operations

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex projects in the field of platformas operations 


 

Travel Required: 

  • 5% Domestic and International
