Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc.

Technical Project Manager

Tokyo - 7 F S-Gate Akasaka Sanno Full time

At Broadridge, we've built a culture where the highest goal is to empower others to accomplish more. If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.

Broadridge is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Technical Project Manager to manage the presales, implementation, and ongoing technical service delivery for our US Proxy solutions (and other BBD Products) in Japan and neighbouring markets. This role will act as the critical bridge between our US-based product and engineering teams and our Japanese clients and partners, ensuring seamless communication, technical execution, and client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will support sales efforts by providing technical expertise in client discussions, oversee project delivery and integration post-sale, and establish strong, real-time technical and operational support locally in Japan, and neighbouring markets.

Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Support

  • Partner with sales and product teams to support presale discussions with Japanese financial institutions regarding Broadridge’s US Proxy offerings (and other BBD products).
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with Broadridge’s product capabilities and roadmap.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations and clarify system functionality for clients and third-party partners.
  • Contribute to responses for RFPs/RFIs from both technical and operational perspectives.

Implementation and Delivery

  • Serve as the single point of contact in Japan (and other local markets) for all technical aspects of the US Proxy project implementation.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to client expectations and Broadridge quality standards.
  • Coordinate between Japanese clients, internal US/UK technical teams, and third-party service providers to address dependencies and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Oversee configuration, system integration, data flows, and testing of proxy-related functionality (e.g., account setup, data exchange, custody chain processes).

Post-Implementation And Ongoing Support

  • Provide real-time technical support and issue resolution during Japan business hours, reducing dependency on offshore time zones.
  • Manage escalation processes and ensure resolution of functionality defects or “chain of custody” reconciliation issues.
  • Develop documentation, technical runbooks, and local support playbooks for sustainable operations.
  • Advocate for client interests in internal product meetings, feeding back enhancements required for the Japan market.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years in IT project management, business analysis, or systems integration within financial services or fintech.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-border technology projects, ideally involving proxy voting, shareholder communications, or custody processing systems.
  • Familiarity with US Proxy, data flows, and platform functionality preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client relationships across multiple time zones and cultural environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and coordinate solutions to technical or operational issues.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (business level) — both written and verbal communication required.
  • PMP, Prince2 or Agile certification advantageous.

Key competences

  • Strong stakeholder management and diplomatic communication skills.
  • Technically fluent — comfortable engaging both engineers and non-technical client stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and able to operate independently while liaising across global teams.
  • Collaborative mindset with sensitivity to cultural and organizational contexts.
  • Client-centric work ethic with a focus on service reliability and transparency.
