Technical Product Owner – API Platform (f/m/x)

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. The Technical Product Owner for the global API Management Platform drives the strategic evolution of our core integration infrastructure. This role is pivotal in enabling seamless connectivity across our diverse technological ecosystem, fostering business innovation, and ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of API services to both internal and external stakeholders. This position contributes directly to the bank's digital transformation initiatives as part of a dynamic and collaborative technology division.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate a clear product vision and strategic roadmap for the global API Management Platform.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Engage diverse stakeholders, gathering requirements and communicating product priorities, progress, and trade-offs.
• Validate releases against functional, performance, and compliance targets to ensure successful platform deployments.

Skills

• API Gateway Expertise: Deep understanding of API gateway concepts, protocols (REST, SOAP, gRPC), security (OAuth, JWT, API keys), and traffic management.
• Platform Engineering: Experience designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable, and secure platforms—ideally with cloud-native architectures (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Technical Leadership: Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, prioritize backlog, and guide engineering teams through delivery.
•  Stakeholder Communication: Strong skills in communicating technical concepts to business and non-business stakeholders and gathering requirements.
•  Security & Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices, compliance requirements, and risk management for APIs.
