Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Technical Product Manager (Multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Technical Product Manager is a member of the Data Governance team, which is responsible for enabling application teams to meet data governance and compliance requirements, including CPRA (California Privacy Rights Act), by driving adoption of Metadata Cataloguing, Data Lineage and Data Quality. The Technical Product Manager will work on a centralized, enterprise data platform. This role will liaise with the teams, set the OKRs and KPIs, own the roadmap, and manage stakeholder relationships. In addition, this position will partner with system of record technical counterparts, business lines, platform owners, and downstream technical counterparts in support of a centralized customer data platform to support all enterprise data needs. Specific duties include:

  • Define and manage the product roadmap for Collibra Data Intelligence Platform and Collibra Data Quality and Observability Tool;
  • Understand the data architecture principles, own and enhance data standards;
  • Lead customer interviews to understand and define business and data requirements for MAD;
  • Understand various data intake requests from various banking biz lines;
  • Work with Biz lines to translate business and functional requirements into actionable product features and workflows;
  • Work closely with Engineering team, including addressing daily prioritization needs, and participate in all phases of the product life cycle, including requirements definition, application architecture, logical and physical design, test plan development;
  • Partner with Scrum Master to manage product dependencies & cross-team planning;
  • Ensure Collibra tools support CPRA and other regulatory requirements;
  • Enable traceability of data assets and subject rights through metadata and lineage;
  • Drive adoption of governance workflows and approval processes;
  • Define Product Metrics and Outcomes for success;
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business users, data stewards, and engineering teams;
  • Conduct training sessions, demos, and create user documentation;
  • Create procedures for developing and maintaining operational, technical and business metadata; promote data governance best practices across the organization;
  • Research data integrity and data quality problems;
  • Provide consulting and guidance to other technical and business teams during requirements gathering and assists in data discovery;
  • Identify business opportunities, building a product strategy, and influencing deliver against a multi-year roadmap; and
  • Own feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.

Uses the following tools and technologies: ETL Informatica, Collibra Data Quality, Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, Microsoft Purview, SQL, NoSQL Cassandra, Rest APIs, Python, JIRA.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) technical product manager or software developer experience.

Required Skills/Experience:
 

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and debugging software products and applications. 2) Working with data quality frameworks and data architecture principles, including data lineage, cataloging, and data quality to ensure data is trusted, discoverable, and compliant across the enterprise. 3) Utilizing advanced data analytics and visualization tools including ETL tools to extract actionable insights from large datasets and improve product functionality. 4) Working with the following tools/technologies: ETL Informatica, Collibra Data Quality, Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, Microsoft Purview, SQL, NoSQL Cassandra, Rest APIs, Python, JIRA. 5) Performing stakeholder management, including serving as a liaison between business users, data stewards, and engineering teams, as well as consulting and guiding other technical and business teams during requirements gathering.
