Job Description

The Technical Partner Integration and Certifications team is part of the Global Solution Consulting and Payment Optimization function within the Global Product Organization.

Our role is to enable third‑party payment solutions to process transactions through the Elavon acquiring platform, ensuring our customers have access to a wide range of secure, compliant, and innovative payment options.

As a team, we support partners throughout the end‑to‑end integration journey, provide technical consulting on capabilities and requirements, guide partners through card‑scheme certification and accreditation processes, and offer EMV expertise—all while maintaining a strong focus on regulatory and scheme compliance.

Our 12-week paid summer internship program is one of the ways we help early talent thrive at Elavon U.S. Bank. Throughout the summer, you'll have the chance to explore different career pathways, contribute meaningfully to projects across the company and build lasting relationships with teammates, peers and leaders. 

As a summer intern, you’ll get practical exposure to how card payments work behind the scenes. You’ll learn how payment terminals, gateways, and software solutions are integrated, tested, and certified before reaching customers. You’ll also gain insight into EMV standards, card‑scheme rules, and regulatory requirements, while working closely with experienced professionals across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to read and understand technical specification documents, with guidance from the team
  • Develop an interest in reviewing code and interrogating data (training and support will be provided)
  • Observe and participate in partner certification project calls to build exposure to stakeholder engagement
  • Learn how to read and understand relevant regulatory documentation with support
  • Complete provided data analysis and data entry tasks across multiple systems as part of day-to-day learning
  • With support, assist in responding to customer and partner queries via email
  • Learn to write and format supporting documentation when content is provided
  • Support the Certification Consultant on ongoing card scheme certification projects

Basic qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business with Information systems focus with a target completion date of May 2027/2028
  • Ability to start summer internship on 1 Jun 2026
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong in Excel, Powerpoint, data analysis and coding.

Location: Arklow.

  • The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Contract Type:

  • 12 week fixed term contract
