Redwood Credit Union is seeking an Employee Relations Generalist I, who will provide outstanding service, coordinate a variety of human resources activities in support of Redwood Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Values and Service Standards. Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding of team members, employee lifecycle support, maintaining HRIS and recordkeeping, administering health benefit changes, supporting ergonomics and wellness efforts and general administration.
Key Responsibilities as assigned
Benefits:
o Process enrollment changes to team member benefit elections.
o Coordinate COBRA administration with third-party vendor.
o Coordinate the communication of benefits information to team members, including new hire orientation.
o Assist and support Open Enrollment Meetings.
o Reconcile and ensure timely payment of monthly group benefits billings.
o Assist team members with claims filing and problem resolution through contact with brokers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators.
o Maintain team members benefit documents.
Wellness:
o Administratively support the program by generating monthly reports, processing incentives, and verifying eligibility.
o Assist with coordinating and supporting onsite biometric screenings.
o Suggest content for Wellness Page.
Administration:
o Facilitate ergonomic programs for all team members.
o Exercise sound judgment and discretion in the collection and dissemination of information; ensure that highly sensitive, proprietary, and confidential information is released only to those authorized.
o Administrate and process full cycle onboarding and offboarding.
o Maintain filing and record keeping systems including team member files, benefit files, I-9’s, and records retention schedule.
o Distribute department internal and external mail.
o Support NMLS process including reporting, annual renewal and maintenance of registrations.
o Update and manage content on RCUNet.
HRIS/Recordkeeping:
o Support administrator for HRIS & recordkeeping systems to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information.
o Process employee lifecycle changes, ensuring proper approvals are received.
o Act as a liaison between Employee Relations, Payroll and IT, for team member lifecycle changes.
Employee Relations:
o Promote employee relations and RCU with team members at all levels when interacting with staff or answering questions.
o Respond to and refer all employee relations concerns to resolve issues and answer questions as needed to ensure smooth operations.
