Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Director to lead the delivery of a major Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program in Riyadh.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure in one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering large-scale ITS or infrastructure programs.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the delivery of a major ITS program, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and integration of ITS technologies, including traffic management systems, smart mobility solutions, and connected infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and external vendors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and consultants, to ensure program objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure compliance with international ITS standards, local regulations, and best practices.
- Drive innovation and identify opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies into the program.
- Monitor program performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in ITS, transportation infrastructure, or related fields, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in delivering large-scale ITS programs or similar complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of ITS technologies, including traffic management systems, sensors, communications, and smart mobility solutions.
- Exceptional project management skills, with experience managing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government agencies and private sector partners.
- Familiarity with international ITS standards and best practice.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- International experience and experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
- Knowledge of Saudi Vision 2030 and its implications for transportation and smart city initiatives.
