Northern Data Group

Technical Delivery Manager (m/f/d)

London Full time

Job Description

Northern Data Group are seeking a delivery-focused and customer-centric professional to join our Service Delivery function with a dual focus, ensuring seamless customer onboarding and managing technical delivery, while acting as a bridge between solution engineering, technical teams, and client stakeholders.

This role is not limited to traditional project management. Instead, it plays a hands-on part in aligning technical and commercial teams, ensuring that onboarding projects, whether standard or bespoke, are delivered on time, to specification, and with exceptional customer experience. You will work in partnership with other teams to shape delivery plans, coordinate testing, and manage stakeholder communications throughout the onboarding lifecycle.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the main interface between Solution Engineering, technical teams, and customers for onboarding delivery.
  • Own the delivery plan for each onboarding project, ensuring requirements gathered by Solution Engineering are executed effectively.
  • Coordinate internal resources and manage timelines to meet project milestones.
  • Oversee and manage testing phases, ensuring test plans are executed and sign-off processes are clear.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Support bespoke onboarding scenarios by adapting delivery plans and coordinating resource allocation.
  • Ensure documentation and reporting are accurate and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement of onboarding processes, supporting playbook development and best practices.
  • Champion customer experience during onboarding, ensuring expectations are met and feedback is captured.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in project or delivery management within a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
  • Familiarity with testing coordination and quality assurance processes.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.
  • Experience working with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams.
  • Skilled in balancing structured delivery with flexibility for bespoke solutions.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello).
  • PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile certification (preferred, not essential).
  • Technical background or understanding of IT infrastructure/software delivery is a plus.
