- Work closely with the audio team and other job families to design and implement immersive audio system, such as multi-channel surround sound and others.
- Manage and optimize the performance of game audio systems.
- Coordinate with other developers to build supportive dev tools.
- Report to the audio director.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science or soware engineering.
- Excellent C++ and Python programming skills.
- Good knowledge of Acoustics and Audio DSP.
- Proficient English.
- Passionate in game, strong interests in 3D spatial soundscape.
- Great communicational skills, being collaborative with a multi-disciplined team.
Nice to have skills:
- Proficiency in at least one game audio middleware such as Wwise.
- Proficiency in at least one game engine such as Unreal, or any equivalents. - Strong skills in Math / Physics.
- Experience with DSP / Plugin building / Instrument building / TTS.
- Experience with DAWs such as Reaper / Pro Tools
- Knowledge of 3D audio tech concepts: HRTF / Ambisonics.
- Understanding the sound design and mixing workflow.
- Mastering in a piece of musical instrument.
